FOG Essentials

Essentials was created to intelligently structure what Jerry Lorenzo (Founder of Fear of God) was doing. Essentials is exactly what the name implies (All the Essentials) - simple items in mostly muted tones. If it seems a lot like Yeezy, it is - even the shoes were produced! However, before judging Essentials or Lorenzo himself, it's worth realizing that this is more a testament to the influence Lorenzo may have had on West. Whether true or not, during the rise of streetwear Jerry was without a doubt one of the most influential people. Of course, his acquaintance with Kanye helped him, but the success of Fear of God and its signature aesthetic gives him every right to also occupy a place on the pedestal of "luxury streetwear," as did Virgil Ablo's Off-White.
